Happy Canadian Thanksgiving 2018! It’s time to cook up some great recipes and hang out with family. Check out these recipes to make your holiday tasty.
If you’re like me, you like Thanksgiving recipes that don’t take all day to cook since you’d rather be just lounging around enjoying the day. Don’t get me wrong, I love being in the kitchen, it’s just not my favourite thing when I’m told to do so by a certain holiday. So, if we have that in common, then these recipes are for you. The won’t take all day and you can make a few of them ahead of time. Apple pie, make ahead. The warm autumn salad, you can prep everything ahead of time for sure. The cheddar biscuits are make ahead, too – just cut and cook the day of. Hum…what else – that’s about it. The potatoes need to be done the day of and well the turkey, that’s just the star of the meal.

This gluten free (yes, it’s GF!) apple pie is low in sugar and all about flavour. Eat with some fresh whipped cream or a scoop of frozen yogurt and you’ll be just perfect.
Some of these recipes are staples – like the roasted turkey, while others I’ve just added recently. Either way, makes for a beautiful meal.
One additional bonus to Thanksgiving – the hot turkey sandwiches and the mashed potato cakes from all the left overs. So good!
