Travel: Beach Must Haves
Beach must haves – here are the top 9 items I need to hit the beach. Now, I’m not a beach girl at heart. Nope, put me on the beach and I’ll probably last 3 hours, and only if that includes a snack and lunch.
On our recent trip to Akumal, Mexico I lasted an amazing 6 hours. Two key reasons. One, it included two snacks and lunch. Two, we got a cabana. The shade and comfort is key. Now, I still don’t think I could beach it up day after day, but after 16 days of vacationing, it was a relaxing 6 hours.
Okay – here we go, the top nine items that are my beach must haves.
Beach Must Haves
- Sunglasses
- Aqua Phone Pouch
- A Good Book
- Surrong
- Swim Suit
- Buff
- Beach Bag
- Sun Screen
- Hat
The sunglasses, swim suit, sun screen and hat are pretty obvious – swimming and sun protection. The aqua phone pouch is so you can take fun photos while in the water, or not worry about getting sand and grit into your phone.
Up next, a book – to keep busy and relax a bit. One of my favourite beach pieces is my surrong. Tie it many different ways and you’re all set and stylish. The buff – keeping those bags at bay, or keeping your hair out of the sun while swimming. Lastly, the bag to carry everything but sand.
Overall, it was a great beach day. The best part? Getting cabana number 2 so we could watch people coming and going all day from the beach. Oh, and the bright sunny day, with just enough wind to keep us comfortable.
Thanks so much for visiting. Happy beaching, and stay warm!
