Sewing: Dish Towels and Dish Cloths
Purple! Yes…purple dish towels and purple dish cloths. This project was inspired by someone’s love of purple – and their new home. With a birthday arriving next week, I though, well, what better way to send them something not so matchy-matchy, yet practical?? Okay…a little match-matchy. A month or two ago I made dish cloths for our home, in a very neutral colour. This time I decided to make matching dish towels. Dish Towels and Dish Cloths The cloths measure 11×11 and the towel measures…

Project: Cuff Links

The dry cleaner’s lost them. What!!?? He says it’s fine – he’ll just hide his cuffs in his jacket. I know Bryce well…after about an hour at the party he’ll be hot and want to take off his jacket, then realize that he needs his jacket to keep his cuffs in line.…

Home Improvement: Lighting
Home Improvement Lighting Lights are a great way (like barn doors) to update your home. When we moved into our home a couple of years ago (man, time flies!) the lights were not so nice. Boob lights, as they are most commonly called, flooded our ceilings and ancient-looking wall sconces decorated our walls. Some people may like those styles, however, we say flat out YUCKY!! Time to update… The light above is actually a DIY project my husband competed. Using old fashioned filament lights and electrical…
