Recipe: Canada Day Sweets
Canada Day sweets! That’s right, here are some of my top sweet treats for July 1. Cookies? Yes! Brownies? You bet! Cake pops?! Of course. It’s time to celebrate this wonderful country with red and white sprinkles. Okay, let’s check out some of these sweet treats.
Canada Day Sweets
Well, there you have it, the links to the top five sweets to celebrate on Monday, or today if you’re so eager. Let’s check out some photos of these treats in action.
Up first, the brownies. Fudgy and rich, these are a chocolate lovers go-to. Plus, the sprinkles add an extra pop.
Next, some dipped cookies and treats. These are quick and easy to make, especially if you’re not a fan of turning on your oven in the hot-hot summer. With some items you might already have on hand, you can make these in a few minutes – that is, if you’re not hung up on waiting for the chocolate to harden.
Time for some Canada Day cookies – these are baked and then topped with chocolate and sprinkles.
And, if you’re in the mood for softer cookies, then these iced ones should be your pick.
Last, but not least, my favourite – the gluten free cake pops! The best part, they’re totally awesome out of the freezer. Like the best. Try it!
We made a big batch and there was no way we could eat them all, so to keep them fresh they ended up in the freezer. Well, on a hot day we wanted a treat, so we grabbed one – frozen and it was good, like better than not frozen good. Sometimes the best finds are by accident. I need to make these again soon!
Ta-da! Five awesome red and white treats to ring in another year celebrating Canada.
Happy Canada Day to you – have fun this long weekend!
