Life and Home
Life and home are two things that you can take anywhere with you, or so I believe. These photos share with you some memorable moments in my life and in my home. Enjoy!
Life and Home
We live in the country in Northern Alberta – moving to Alberta in 2009 was a challenge at times. Our first winter was cold (oh, so cold). One day in 2010 we were the coldest place on earth at minus 54 degrees. So cold. And the dumbest part about that cold day, we were living in the city, just of Whyte Ave in Edmonton, and I thought it would be a smart idea to walk to work. It took me about 35 minutes and the only reason I didn’t freeze was because I have the gear to survive the cold. When we moved from Dallas, Texas it was a requirement of Bryce to buy me a winter coat durable to minus 50 degrees. On that day, it saved me. The best part about living so far north is the long days in the summer – they are the best. In June it is still light out around 10:30 – 11:00pm. Oh, and the sun gets you up before 5:00am. Okay, enough about the weather and the days – basically, we love where we live. So, here are some photos to show you how much we love our life and our home.
The before and after photos of our kitchen renovation are great – the concrete countertops were a lot of work, but so worth it. Also, the Taste of Edmonton from 2015 is a great read, or you can just look at all the photos of the food – either way, check it out, too.
